Description: The Women's season runs from the beginning of May to the end of August. We practice Tuesday and Thursday (twice a week) with games on Saturdays. We practice centrally and play out of Twin Elm Rugby Park in the west end of the City. We play in the EORU Div. 1 and most of our games are in Ottawa.
COACHING POSITION
The Ottawa Beavers Banshees RFC are looking for a Women's Coach for the 2010 Summer Season.
Description: The Women's season runs from the beginning of May to the end of August. We practice Tuesday and Thursday (twice a week) with games on Saturdays. We practice centrally and play out of Twin Elm Rugby Park in the west end of the City. We play in the EORU Div. 1 and most of our games are in Ottawa.
Responsibilities: We are looking for a coaches to commit to one practice per week plus league games from the beginning of May through the end of August. Coaches will be expected to run practices and make selections. On game days coaches are expected to manage warm up, substitutions and coach on game days. We are flexible with regards to summer schedules and have assistant coaches and senior players capable of filling in.
Experience: 2-3years coaching experience is preferred.
Benefits: As we are looking to develop coaching in the club, our organization willing to sponsor coaches to attend clinics and courses.
Our Organization: We are a club with a long history and plenty of character. The Banshees were the first women's team in the city and the Beavers are the oldest club. They amalgamated in 2000. We are part Owners of Twin Elm Rugby Park. We run a senior women's team and a U18 team. We have had players on representative teams, including Canada Senior, U23 and U19, Quebec Senior, Ontario Senior, U23, U19 and U17, but are committed to providing a meaningful experience to all levels of players.
Additional Notes: All personnel working with players under the age of 18 will be required to undergo a police check.
